Set Up a Discount Offer for Fans Who Attempt to Cancel Their Subscription

When a fan attempts to cancel their subscription, the creator can offer a discount for the next renewal.

If the fan accepts the offer, their subscription remains active, and they will be charged the discounted price for their next payment only.

📌 How to Use It

1. Register a Membership Discount 🏷️

In the web Creator Studio, go to Membership > Membership Promotion to create a discount. 
Select Subscribers Attempting to Cancel as the Target audience to offer the discount to fans who attempt to cancel their subscription.
The title will not be revealed to your fans, so you can use any name that helps you easily identify the promotion.

2. Set the Discount Rates, User Limits, and Period⚙️

• Set the discount rate for each plan: Select a plan and enter the discount rate. Except for 100% discounts, the discounted plan price must be at least ₩1,000.
• User Limit: Choose No Limit or Set Manually to specify the number of users who can receive the discount. The limit resets on the first day of each month.
• Set the period: Enter the start and end dates. The offer will only be shown to fans who attempt to cancel their subscription during this period.

3. Check What Fans See 👀

When a fan attempts to cancel their subscription, the Special Discount Offer! screen will appear first.

The offer details, eligible plan, and subscription prices before and after the discount will be displayed.
If the fan selects Keep Subscription with Discount, their subscription remains active, and the discount is scheduled for their next payment only.

If the fan selects Continue Canceling Subscription, the cancellation process proceeds as usual.

📌 Important Notes

• Eligibility: The offer is available only to fans with active subscriptions set to auto-renew (recurring payments).
• Discount Duration: The discount applies to the next payment only after the fan accepts the offer. From the following renewal onward, the regular price will apply.
• Repeat Offers: Fans who have already received a discount through the same promotion will not be shown the same offer again. Registering a new promotion makes them eligible for a new offer.
• Actual Charges: The amount charged to fans may differ slightly from the displayed amount due to payment methods, exchange rates, and taxes.
